Welcome:
This Wiki was made by teachers for teachers with assistance from OCM BOCES. This Wiki is a living document intended to help teachers analyze and understand each standard, its nuances, the knowledge and skills it demands of students, and connections to other standards. The information in it was not provided by the Common Core authors or by New York State. Consequently, there is room for disagreement and discussion. To that end, please feel free to post a note suggesting additions or revisions.
New York State will implement the Common Core Standards in Mathematics (K-8) beginning in 2012-'13. As you work to accomplish this, please use this Wiki in conjunction with national-, state-, and district-level resources and professional development to help you make the transition to the new standards in your classroom. Links to some good resources are provided in the sidebar.

Is there a way to add Khan Academy videos to the domain explanations as a resource for teachers?

What is attractive about the Khan Academy is that it is very well organized, easy to use, and provides organized student data. However, it is definitely what Phil Daro refers to as "answer-getting." This might be a good resource for parents who need a quick "review" of content, but I do not want to promote use of this site for classroom instruction.
